The Saturday Club Members, along with their little ones, brought party favors, desserts and cards for Wayne Senior Center residents to help celebrate Valentine’s Day. This event is a long-standing tradition for our club and is enjoyed by children and seniors alike.
Saturday Club Members donated over 60 Jared Boxes, filled with age appropriate gifts, toys, and games to chronically ill children staying at Bryn Mawr Hospital. The goal of the Jared Box Project is to lift the spirits of children during their extended hospital stay.
A new partner this year, The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House supports families of seriously ill children by creating a community of comfort and hope. A group of new and prospective members of The Saturday Club held a pajama drive and sorting event in partnership with Plaid Pajamas, a local charity that provides warm, cozy PJs to local kids who are in need.
Each December The Saturday Club holds a donation drive to benefit local chartiable organizations in the Greater Philadelphia area. This year we are proud to support The Women’s Resource Center to provide necessary food, clothing and household items for local girls and women benefitted by our neighbor, the WRC.
Members collected baked goods for members of our country’s armed services who are traveling through Philadelphia Airport. This initiative is a wonderful way to support the USO and the men and women who serve our country and a fun holiday tradition for our Club.
Members of The Saturday Club held their annual Blood Drive to support the American Red Cross at the Clubhouse in Wayne, PA. More than XX pints of blood was collected during the drive.
