The Saturday Club Grant Application Facts

Thank you for your interest in applying for a Philanthropy Grant from The Saturday Club. Applications are considered by the Philanthropy Committee and recommendations are made for approval by The Saturday Club Board of Directors.<> The Saturday Club Philanthropy Grants generally range from $500 to $3,000. We also make a limited number of in-kind donations for the use of our historic clubhouse. Clubhouse donations may be used to host an event to raise funds for the organization.

Completed applications are due by January 23 of this year. Applicants will be advised of the results in March and awards will be presented at the April Membership Meeting (generally the second Tuesday in April at 7:15pm unless otherwise notified). Click here for the current Club Calendar for confirmation of dates.

Grant Application Eligibility

Applicant must be an organization.

Organizations must be a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) designated non-profit organization and must support (with rare exception) our mission to benefit women, children, and families in our community – the greater Philadelphia area.

We regret that requests of the following nature for monetary donations cannot be considered: fund-raising drives, capital campaigns, from individuals or group of individuals, travel expenses, salaries or benefits, stipends, political activities, religious purposes.

Organizations are not prevented from re-application due to previous application or funding from The Saturday Club. Please note, however, that due to the large number of organizations applying for limited funds, it is possible that prior funding decisions (particularly if recent) may be considered in a given grant cycle.

Supporting Documents

The following documents must also accompany the application. These documents do not need to be submitted in duplicate, but would be appreciated:

  • IRS 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) designation documentation
  • Most recent Audited Financial Statements and/or Annual Report
  • Current annual Operating Budget
  • Itemized Program Budget

All applications must be received no later than January 23, 2017. Please plan on mailing the documents at least one week prior to this date so that the application is in hand to the Philanthropy Committee by this date. If January 23rd falls on a day when mail service is not scheduled, please make sure to take this into account.
