The Saturday Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing philanthropic support to women’s and children’s charities, today announced registration is open for its 2017 Cotillion program, which begins on Friday, October 6, 2017, at 117 West Wayne Avenue. The program is open to boys and girls in third through sixth grade, and will be taught by instructors from Jon D. Williams Cotillions, a nationally recognized dance and social skills education program.
A Main Line tradition, The Saturday Club’s Cotillion is a social education program where children learn social skills and the art of social dance. The program helps students build a foundation of social awareness for future relationships and career opportunities. Classes are held each fall and are progressive from year-to-year. Instructors work with students based on their individual skill level and needs.
“We’re thrilled to continue our tradition of bringing Cotillion programming to Main Line families and students,” said Cory Townend, president of The Saturday Club. “The program cultivates positive, healthy habits that offer long-term advantages, by teaching respect, courtesy and consideration; how to properly introduce oneself; the importance of dress and appearance; and the basics of table manners and etiquette.”
2017 Cotillion classes will take place six Friday evenings throughout October and November, including a special two-hour dinner dance program for fifth and sixth grade students on Friday, November 10.
