On Saturday, January 12, members of The Saturday Club volunteered at the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House by preparing and serving breakfast to the families residing there as their children undergo medical treatments at area hospitals. The organization supports families of seriously ill children by creating a community of comfort and hope.
The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House programs include two Ronald McDonald Houses, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, and Ronald McDonald camp. Keeping families together is an integral part of each child’s treatment, and the Ronald McDonald House allows that to happen by providing the comforts of home to families with children in treatment while also offering the support of staff and volunteers.
