Grant Details
Applications are considered by the Philanthropy Committee, with funding recommendations made to The Saturday Club Board of Directors for approval. The Saturday Club uses a two-stage process:
Stage 1 — Letter of Intent (LOI). Open to all eligible organizations. Opens September 28; closes November 16.
Stage 2 — Full Application. A limited number of organizations are invited to submit a full application. This stage is by invitation only.
Invited organizations will be notified in March; grant awards are presented at the April 13 Club meeting.
Grant Application Requirements
- Local 501(c)(3) nonprofit status
- Mission alignment supporting women, children, and families in the Greater Philadelphia area (defined as Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties)
- Annual operating budget under $2 million preferred — strong preference given to organizations under this threshold with focus on small-to-mid-sized, community-local organizations with direct local impact
- Project-based funding requests only, with a simple itemized budget (not general operating expenses, fundraising, capital campaigns, travel, salaries, benefits, stipends, or political/religious activities)
- Organizations previously funded by The Saturday Club must wait 3 years before reapplying (Not sure? Check HERE.)
