This month, we are collecting items in a donation drive for Cradles to Crayons! This organization provides children in the Philadelphia area from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. They supply these items free of charge through donations collected from the community. Donations are then processed and packaged by volunteers in their warehouse, The Giving Factory, and distributed to local children in need.
We are collecting items through noon on Monday, April 28th, which will be sorted that evening at the clubhouse! See below for a list of most needed items – members may bring their donations to our Membership Meeting this Tuesday, 4/8. For those unable to make the meeting, or anyone else who wishes to donate, there is a labeled bin outside the front doors of our clubhouse you may place your items in.
New only:
- Socks, underwear
- Arts, crafts, school supplies
- Hygiene items, toiletries
- Diapers (all sizes), pull-ups and wipes
New or gently-used:
- All season clothing, including shirts, pants and jeans (from NB to Adult 2XL)
- Pajamas
- Shoes, winter boots, athletic shoes (children’s and adult sizes)
- Books (age 0-12)
