Around the holiday season, The Saturday Club often looks to find a local organization to partner with to fulfill a special in-need group’s holiday wish list. This year, The Saturday Club had the opportunity to help brighten one family’s Christmas by collecting and wrapping gifts. We met Yasmine, an 8 year old little girl with neuroblastoma, her three brothers and mother through The Breathing Room Foundation.
This incredible organization has dedicated itself to helping families affected by cancer to find a little “breathing room” during their cancer journey and all the hardships that come with that battle. The support that BRF provides to referred families through their programs is individualized to the needs of that family.
This December, our member volunteers collected dozens of brand new clothing, toys, tech devices and gift cards to be wrapped and delivered to Yasmine and her family ahead of Christmas. Then an intimate group of our members met on December 16th in our historic clubhouse to wrap all the amazingly generous gifts. We were filled with joy to see that we could fill 5 large gift bags for each member of their household (including mom!) to have a truly bountiful Christmas.
