TheVillage, which provides child welfare, residential programs, mental health, and prevention services to children and families in Philadelphia and neighboring counties, was the recipient of The Saturday Club’s holiday donation drive and service project. Throughout the month of December, members of The Saturday Club collected gifts and essentials to donate to a family receiving services at theVillage. Each and every item from the wish list of the family of 6 was fulfilled, including 3 bikes, household essentials such as a microwave oven, flatware and bedding and many toys.
In addition to the donation drive, several members spent Tuesday afternoon wrapping additional gifts for children at theVillage. The beautifully wrapped gifts will help brighten the holidays for several young girls.
