The Saturday Club Kids put together Jared Boxes for kids who visit the hospital. It was fun to shop with our families for all of the supplies, then get together with the TSC Kids group to assemble and decorate the boxes.
The Jared Box Project sends boxes of toys, games, puzzles, stuffed animals, clay, bubbles etc. to kids who are staying in the hospital. The boxes bring them joy and provide them something fun while they are sick or not feeling well. Each box is designed for a specific age and gender so that there are always a nice variety.
On October 24th, The Saturday Club Kids met at the Clubhouse and worked together to create cards with well wishes and pictures on them, decorated the boxes and added our toys and items to the boxes. Altogether we made almost 30 boxes! Each time the Kids Club meets we also recite the TSC Kids Oath. It is a nice way for us to remember why we are meeting, to help others in need.
The boxes are being sent to Dupont Hospital for Children where we hope they will bring cheer to many kids.
