Members of The Saturday Club brought with them three of their favorite beauty items, two of which were raffled off to club members with the other items being donated to Home of the Sparrow. On Tuesday, October 16th, the Saturday Club once again hosted a blood drive for the American Red Cross. Saturday Club members volunteered to plan the drive, recruit donors, and run the day of logistics, such as registration and snack table. The drive was a huge success, as 47 viable blood donations were collected.

The Saturday Club will offer a cotillion program beginning Friday, Oct. 5, at 117 West Wayne Avenue. The program is open to boys and girls in third through sixth grade and will be taught by instructors from Jon D. The Saturday Club Kids kicked off the new club year by cleaning out their personal libraries and donating them to Cradle to Crayons. On Tuesday, September 18, we filled five large containers with the kids’ generosity. We also re-introduced the kindness jars and taught the kids the TSC Kids oath.

Spring finally made an appearance for the 3rd Annual Saturday Club Shuffle 5K & Kids Race held on April 14 in Wayne. More than 200 area runners participated on the course, which is USA Track & Field Certified and runs through Wayne’s business district and downtown neighborhoods.
