Blood Drive Thank You

Thank you to everyone who shared our Red Cross Blood Drive event on October 15, 2019. We filled all of our available donation spots & the Red Cross collected 41 viable blood donations, which they were thrilled about. The Red Cross was very appreciative of our time, our volunteers and our space. An extra special thank you to the co-chairs for this event Debbie Particelli and Erica Savini. Read Full Post

The Saturday Club Participates in Works of heART Exhibit to Benefit Laurel House

The Saturday Club was honored to participate in a unique exhibit at the King of Prussia Mall just outside of Bloomingdale’s called ‘Works of heART’, benefiting Laurel House, a domestic violence agency located in Montgomery County. The Saturday Club, along with several other local groups, was asked to create a structure out of donated items that would all be donated to Laurel House and the women and families they support.  Read Full Post

TSC Kids Make Jared Boxes

On May 2, The Saturday Club Kids held their last event of the year. Each child assembled and brought in a Jared Box, which is a shoe box-sized plastic storage container filled with small gifts, toys, games and fun activities for children in the hospital. Each box contains items selected for a specific age and gender and are delivered to local hospitals. Read Full Post

April Collection Drive: Baby Bundles

At the April membership meeting, Saturday Club members collected more than 30 bags of new and gently used size 0-2 baby items for The Baby Bureau, located in Warminster, Pa. The Baby Bureau is a 2018 Saturday Club grant recipient whose mission is to provide underserved babies in the community with “baby bundles” of clothing, bottles, shoes, blankets and other necessary items. The Saturday Club Presents 2019 Grants to Nine Local Organizations

WAYNE, PA – April 10, 2019 – Nine local organizations received grant funding last night to help support women, children and families in the Greater Philadelphia region. The Saturday Club presented its annual philanthropy grants to Jake’s Dragon Foundation, Peter’s Place, Minding Your Mind, Surrey Services, Students Run Philly Style, HERB It Forward Foundation, Young Lives, Drueding Center, and The Kolbe Fund. The Saturday Club to Participate in ‘Work of heART’ Exhibition Benefitting Laurel House

The Saturday Club is proud to be among several local organizations participating in an exciting community event that will take place this May at the King of Prussia Mall. Laurel House, a local community domestic abuse agency, will be the recipient organization of a national exhibition project called “Work of heART.” Participating organizations, including The Saturday Club, will collect donations for Laurel House and then use those products to build a work of art, in sculpture form.
