I booked my entire wedding around hosting my reception at The Saturday Club and was totally happy with it! I was looking for a charming place, less than an hour away from the Philadelphia Airport, where we could ideally bring in all our own elements (Bar, Catering, DJ, etc) when we discovered The Saturday Club. The Saturday Club is a charming old building located smack in the middle of Wayne, PA, walking distance to a fantastic hotel, beautiful churches, public transportation and plenty of bars/restaurants. You pay a flat fee to rent their space and then bring in all your own (insured) elements! They were incredibly easy to work with and being able to pay for our own booze at cost, with the catering company serving for us, was such a huge cost saver! On top of this, the Wayne, PA area is beautiful and unexpectedly accessible! Everyone attending our wedding either flew into Philadelphia Airport, took public transportation from NYC or drove from Northern Pennsylvania resulting in a unique destination wedding! If you are looking for an alternative to the cookie cutter receptions sites that charge you an arm and a leg for every small add on, then I recommend going the DIY route at The Saturday Club!
