This December, for the second consecutive year, members of The Saturday Club participated in theVillage’s Annual Adopt-a-Family Donation Drive. At the December 11th membership meeting, members of the club donated gifts for one family in need. The members donated more than 130 items, fulfilling every wish for this deserving family. Items included tablets, bikes, booster seats, individual items for every family member as well as multiple household items. After collection, a group of members took the gifts to theVillage’s Rosemont Campus.
Since 1877, theVillage has had one unwavering goal: to reach the most vulnerable members of our communities and deliver assistance that lasts. They work together with children, families and communities impacted by trauma to support healing and resilience, to encourage hope and to empower them to realize their greatest potential. The Rosemont campus remains a village in a literal sense – a caring, therapeutic place where several types of residential clients find a safe haven.
