Calling All Craft Lovers! Today is a Good Day needs our help!
Loomers, crocheters, arts-and-crafts lovers—this one’s for you! Whether you’re a pro loomer or just love getting creative, we’ve got an exciting event you won’t want to miss!
The Saturday Club is partnering with Today Is A Good Day (TIAGD) to make Bonding Squares to support new parents of NICU babies in the Philadelphia area. Attendees will have the opportunity to create Bonding Squares for babies and their families in the NICU!
What is a Bonding Square? Bonding squares are small fabric squares woven in pairs and given to NICU babies and their parents to wear against their skin. The squares are swapped at each visit, so each has the scent of the other – which has proven to have emotional and physical benefits for both parents and baby while they are apart. Learn more about TIAGD here.
Today is a Good Day provides personal and financial support for families who experience the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). NICU families face sudden unexpected personal and financial needs that are largely unrecognized as a result of NICU admission and fall outside the responsibility of hospitals and any other support structures to address them. TIAGD helps to support the most vulnerable infants, their parents and their extended families to lessen stress, increase family and infant well-being and offer hope for the future.
Bring your friends and children – you can even bring your own yarn and knitting needles!
