On Wednesday, April 10th, Saturday Club volunteers joined with Jennifer Leith, Executive Director of the West Philadelphia Alliance for Children, in sorting and barcoding books donated through the Club’s WePAC book drive. Through this ongoing service project, The Saturday Club partners with WePAC to provide books to support the reopening of school libraries in the city of Philadelphia as well as provide library services in schools to thousands of students in the Philadelphia metro area each year.
The Saturday Club would like to thank Main Point Books, who graciously offered a discount to patrons purchasing books for our book drive, for their continued support of this event each year. The books donated through Wednesday night’s event will support the library for the Overbrook Education Center on Landsdowne Ave in Philadelphia.
