The Saturday Club Kids held their second service project on Thursday evening, December 14th. Members of TSC Kids came together to help collect and organize hundred of pairs of warm, winter PJs for local charity, The Plaid Pajamas Project. The kids also talked about ways they are helping out at home and in the community to spread kindness. As the children shared their ideas, moms created a kindness chain, one link for every act of kindness, that stretched the length of the room! Kids also enjoyed a short, holiday movie while snuggled in their own PJs.
The Plaid Pajamas Project was started four years ago by a local mom who wanted to share her tradition of opening a pair of warm, and usually plaid, pajamas each Christmas Eve. In order to help spread her love for this tradition to children who could use some extra warmth during the winter months, she started collecting pajamas of all sizes to donate to local children and families in need. The Saturday Club Kids is happy to support such an important cause by collecting pajamas, and helping to sort and prepare them for distribution. The Plaid Pajamas Project will deliver all of the PJs to local charitable organizations over the coming weeks.
Thank you to all of our members and friends who donated to this service project and helped our kids get into the holiday spirit by giving back and reminding ourselves of the importance of kindness.
