On Thursday April 18th, members of The Saturday Club volunteered at the “Giving Back Together” Cocktails, Dinner and Awards event for Connect Thru Cancer. CTC is a non-profit organization based in West Chester, PA that provides a variety of cancer support services and resources to individuals and families living with a cancer diagnosis, giving respite to the cancer patient in treatment, and supporting their unique journey – all free of charge.
TSC members, along with students from Temple University’s Fox School of Business, assisted with the event’s behind-the-scenes through checking in attendees, signing up bidders for the event’s Silent and Live Auctions, serving the Champagne Wall and Bourbon Table, and helping attendees with their bids.
The event also honored its first-ever recipient of the Cammie Hall Memorial Scholarship Award, a local senior at Kennett High School, who lost her father at the young age of five after his two-year battle with cancer. We were honored to offer our time and efforts to a local organization that shares in our interest to spread support where it’s needed most in our communities!
