Last week, volunteers visited The Timothy School to help set up seasonal decorations and in-classroom activities for the students – and what a rewarding time it was! Started in 1960, The Timothy School provides educational setting for students ages 5-21 y/o with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Their curriculum fosters communication, social, cognitive and life skills to students so their students can achieve their greatest potential. Volunteers got to tour the campus to see all the amazing benefits they provide to their students.
In addition to decor, TSC volunteers also donated school supplies, crafts and classroom materials to support the students’ learning success, including books, blankets, Play-Doh, sensory bin filler sets, and more. These contributions help ensure students not only learn in a vibrant environment but also have the hands-on tools they need to thrive each day.
We are so grateful to have supported them and their efforts! If you’d also like to show your support, Timothy’s Crafters – part of the school’s unique on-campus internship program – will be participating at our Santa at the Clubhouse event on November 22nd from 11AM–1PM at our historic Wayne clubhouse – come out and say hello!
