On Saturday January 11th, in honor of National Human Trafficking Awareness Day (January 11th), The Saturday Club members volunteered with Worthwhile Thrift to help support victims of human trafficking. Since 2010, this day has been dedicated to raising awareness about the ongoing battle to combat human trafficking, educating the public on how to prevent it, and mitigating the lasting impacts of those affected. Sending a huge thank you to our volunteers who came out to support Worthwhile Wear’s mission!
Volunteers spent the day at Worthwhile Wear’s Thrift store in Collegeville, PA helping the store by sorting , organizing, and re-stocking donated clothing, shoes, books and house wares. Volunteers also donated 14 bags of clothing and toys!
Proceeds from the Worthwhile Thrift stores serve as additional financial support for Worthwhile Wear’s restorative programs for survivors of human trafficking. These retail stores also provide vocational training and employment for women participating in The Well program.
